I cannot stress enough that this book is not for everyone. Please read all warnings and take those into account before beginning the book.His Favorite Color is Blood is part of the Coffin Nails MC series, but it can be read as a standalone, however, I suggest reading the series in order to help get a better sense of the supporting characters and fictional world. I absolutely adore this series and all its dark and gory books. Grim, the main character for this book, is a nomadic biker but still apart of the Coffin Nails MC. He’s gay and doesn’t care who knows. He’s deranged and dangerous, and very sexy with an unusual kink. This kink pushed me out of my comfort zone, but once I got used to the idea, I was able to appreciate it. Misha is trapped in a nightmare before he’s rescued by Grim. The relationship development between Misha and Grim was absolutely perfect and I loved every moment of it. Grim was protective, dominant, and obsessed with Misha, but he also wanted to love and care for Misha on a level that was a little creepy, yet somehow was still sweet. Misha had a hard time letting Grim in (understandably), but once he did…it was beautiful. Hands down, these two are one of my favorite couples of the MM romance genre.Overall Rating: 5 Stars. K.A. Merikan are an incredible author duo and their writing in this book was gorgeous. The plot was action-packed with glorious and gory fight scenes with erotic, hot sex scenes. I can’t recommend this book enough 4.25 starsThis one is my favourite of the series so far. I was looking forward to this one, as Grim was a highlight in the previous book and his fetish was a different one than I’ve ever come across, and it didn’t let me down.I really liked Grim. He was previously quite arrogant and at times cocky in his knowledge that he was good looking and his extra attributes were a draw card for potential partners, using it to his advantage. His attraction to amputees was different for me. He also wasn’t a good guy, being the contract killer for the club, i did enjoyed his reasoning about killing the people he killed.I liked when he first met Misha, he was so single minded about meeting his porn star getting him out and then keeping him and he was a little put out that Misha didn’t have the same plans, but he never forced him and eventually heard Misha and understood what he was saying and worked to help him get his confidence back. He opened up and showed his vulnerable side a number of times which was nice to read and made him more than a caricature biker killer.I also really enjoyed Misha. He is like the butterfly emerging from his life in captivity and finding his own self confidence again. What happened to him was horrific but he still has the ability and at times trust to sass Grim when everyone else it scared of him.Both of those guys have hang ups to overcome and in some ways they are similar. Misha is objectified by his stumps and Grim by his package.
